    芳草地画廊荣幸宣布,将于2026年1月17日至3月22日,推出艺术家张从云个展“静鸣”。本次展览汇集艺术家2025年创作的最新绘画作品,探讨视觉、知识、理性与感知之间的深度张力,邀请观众走进一场呼应中国古代文人“卧游”精神的内省之旅。

    Parkview Green Art is honoured to announce Silent Resonance, a solo exhibition by artist Zhang Congyun, on view from 17 January 2026 to 22 March 2026. The exhibition brings together the artist’s latest paintings, mainly created in 2025, which explore the intricate tensions between vision, knowledge, rationality, and perception. It invites the audience into an inner, contemplative journey that echoes the ancient Chinese literati spirit of Woyou (to enjoy sceneries without physically travelling).

    张从云的艺术实践根植于中国传统山水与水墨画,并在此基础上进行了从容而大胆的当代转化。作品中的生动线条、青绿设色与水墨笔法承袭自中国画传统,实际技法则有意融入了油彩、丙烯等西方绘画颜料的层叠厚涂与上釉手法。与此同时,艺术家在作品形制上亦突破常规,大量采用圆形、立轴式或宽幅式的构图。

    Departing from the traditions of Chinese landscape and ink painting, Zhang’s practice offers a bold and compelling evolution of their aesthetics. While his vivid lines, blue-and-green palette, and brushwork are drawn from the language of traditional Chinese painting, his techniques deliberately incorporate Western methods, such as the impasto and glazing of materials like oil and acrylic. This innovative approach is also reflected in the artist’s choice of formats, including round, vertical scroll-like, and wide, panoramic canvases and panels.

    在本次展出的作品中,张从云将景观重构为由文化、记忆与个体动态组织而成的流动空间,尝试将知觉从静态景观转向具有象征寓意的共鸣。这些作品不局限于事物的再现,因此其产生的图像更贴近艺术家的内心世界而非具体场景,从而挑战主体与客体的二分法。画面语言游走于具象与抽象之间,其中的视觉元素时而轮廓清晰、厚重凝练,时而幻化为半抽象的视觉纹样,抑或消融成氤氲朦胧的晕染,质疑着图像本身之可信、再现之真实以及感知之杂糅。

    In this new body of work, Zhang reimagines landscape as a dynamic space shaped by culture, memory, and individuality, constantly evolving and never static, inviting the viewers to shift their perception from the physical landscape to its symbolic resonance. Breaking away from mimetic representation, his images, more reflections of his inner world than depictions of identifiable places, challenge the subject-object dichotomy. The forms oscillate between the figurative and the abstract. At times, they are more defined, weighty; at others, they turn into semi-abstract visual patterns, or they dissolve into smudges of vapor, reminiscent of sfumato, constantly questioning the credibility of the image itself, the authenticity of representation, and the complex nature of perception.

    这一切,最终都指向艺术家对“知觉”的深刻理解:并非单纯地看见,而是深入一种关系;在此,自我与所见永无停歇地漫谈。

    Ultimately, these works express the artist’s profound understanding of perception: that to perceive is not merely to see, but to enter into relation, an ever-renewing dialogue between the self and what stands before it.
